We Do the Dirty Work. You Do Nothing.

Here’s the part most people don’t think about: after we seal up your home, any rodents already living inside are now trapped in there with you. They can’t get out the way they came in. So we need to deal with them.

That’s where our trapping process comes in. We place properly baited mechanical snap-traps in your attic, crawlspace, basement, and any other non-living areas where rodents tend to travel. Then we come back every 3 to 5 days to check every single trap.

You don’t have to look at the traps. You don’t have to touch them. You don’t have to dispose of anything. We take care of it from start to finish — until we’re completely satisfied that your home is clear.

“Most customers never even know what we find. That’s the point.”

The trapping process is included in every exclusion job we do. It’s not an add-on, it’s not extra. It’s part of doing the job right. We don’t consider a job finished until the interior is confirmed rodent-free — and neither should you.

Our Approach

Safe, Humane, and Targeted

We use mechanical snap-traps exclusively. No poison. Ever. This isn’t just a preference — it’s the responsible choice.

Rodenticide poison kills indiscriminately. A poisoned rat drags itself outside and gets eaten by an owl, a hawk, a fox, or your neighbor’s dog. Secondary poisoning is real, and it kills non-targeted wildlife at a rate that should concern everyone.

Beyond the wildlife issue, poison creates a disposal problem. A poisoned rodent can die anywhere — inside a wall, behind the stove, in the insulation. You may not find it for weeks. We’ve all heard the stories. A properly set snap-trap catches the rodent in a location we control, which means we can retrieve it cleanly and quickly.

Snap-traps are also more immediately effective. A rodent that takes poison can wander for days before dying. A snap-trap resolves the situation instantly. It’s faster, cleaner, and safer for everyone involved — including your family, your pets, and the wildlife around your home.

Don’t hesitate just because it’s ‘only’ one mouse. One mouse becomes twenty. One squirrel in the attic can cause thousands of dollars in damage. Call early.

Complete Rodent

Exclusion Services

Rodent problems don’t fix themselves—they get worse. Our complete exclusion services are built to remove infestations, repair the damage, and protect your home for the long term.

RATS

The most common call we get. Norway rats, roof rats — each behaves differently and requires knowledge of their habits to seal them out effectively. This is our specialty.

Mice

A mouse can squeeze through a gap smaller than a dime. Don’t underestimate a “small” mouse problem — a pair of mice can become a full infestation in a matter of weeks.

SQUIRRELS

Squirrels in an attic chew wiring, destroy insulation, and cause structural damage quickly. They’re persistent and need properly installed hardware cloth to keep out for good.

RACCOONS

Strong, intelligent, and capable of forcing through weak barriers. Raccoon exclusion requires heavier-gauge materials and careful attention to any opening large enough for them to exploit.

SKUNKS

Common under homes and decks. Beyond the obvious concern, skunks can damage foundations and landscaping. We seal their access points and address the situation without the drama.

WHY DONE RIGHT RODENT PROOFING

Step by Step

Exclusion Work Completed First

We always seal the structure before trapping begins. Trapping without sealing is pointless — new rodents just fill the vacuum.

Traps Placed in Key Areas

Attics, crawlspaces, wall voids, and utility chases. We know where rodents travel — along walls, near insulation, close to heat sources.

Check-Up Every 3–5 Days

We return on a tight schedule. Check every trap. Remove any catches. Reset and re-bait as needed.

We Monitor Until Clear

We don’t stop after two visits and hope for the best. We keep coming back until several consecutive checks confirm zero activity.

Rodent-Free Declaration

When we’re confident, we declare the property clear. Your 3-year guarantee covers you from this point forward.

Our traps are placed in accessible areas — attics and crawlspaces — not sealed wall cavities. This means we can actually retrieve what we catch. Rodents dying in inaccessible walls is a risk with poison, not with our approach.

It depends on the size of the infestation. A light infestation might clear in 2–3 weeks. A heavier one may take longer. We don’t rush it — we keep going until it’s done right.

Not necessarily. We can arrange access to attic hatches and crawlspace entries without requiring you to be present. We’ll work out the logistics with you before we start.

All traps are placed in non-living areas — attics, crawlspaces, under homes — that are not accessible to children or pets under normal circumstances. We don’t place open traps anywhere a family member could encounter them.

This is exactly why we don’t use poison. Rodents that consume poison wander off and die anywhere — walls, insulation, inside furniture. Our snap-traps catch rodents in specific, accessible locations we can monitor and clear.

Yes, 100%. The full trapping process — placement, all check-ups, removal — is included in every exclusion job. It’s also included in our 2-year guarantee. If rodents return, we trap again at no charge.

Here at Done Right Rodent Proofing, we are the absolute best at ridding your home or business of unwanted pests for good!
